Carolyn J. Taylor
Carolyn J. Taylor, Special Education Administrator/Title 1/ELL Coordinator, has completed her Principal Internship here at UCAP and is helping to lead the Personalized Learning initiative with our 8th and 9th grade students.  She began her career in education twelve years ago at Beacon Charter as a Special Educator and has worked as a Special Education Administrator for the past six years at several charter schools, ensuring that all regulations are met and students receive services needed to be successful.  Carolyn is a RI Learning Champion collaborating on exemplars for graduation proficiency, a member of the PARCC Educator Leadership Cadre, the Association of Rhode Island Administrators of Special Education, Rhode Island Association of School Principals, Rhode Island Technology Educators, RIASCD, an Ambassador for the Common Core State Standards and has worked with Achieve the Core reviewing model lessons and providing input for improvement.

Carolyn earned her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Autism Education, Masters of Education in Urban Multicultural Special Education Administration and BA at Rhode Island College.  An avid reader, Carolyn would love it if you shared your latest good read with her.
