Murray Family Prize
Congratulations to The UCAP School Founder and Director Rob DeBlois!
The Rhode Island Foundation awarded Rob DeBlois with the inaugural Murray Family Prize for Community Enrichment. DeBlois received the $50,000 prize in recognition of decades of work with disadvantaged youth as the founder and director of The UCAP School in Providence.
“I am humbled by this recognition, and I thank the Murray family for this honor,” said Rob DeBlois. “The work continues, and while an award like this one provides great personal validation, I am also hopeful that it will encourage more people of influence to think of the kids we serve as their own. To treat them as their own, invest in them as they do their own children.”

UCAP Spring Do – April 20, 2017
Thank you to the entire UCAP community for making our Be-U Spring Do a great success! The evening was made possible from the support of our generous Sponsors, Donors, Friends and Volunteers of UCAP! Together we raised over $45,000 for our students and the Beyond U Program at our Spring Do!
We are especially grateful to Joe Wilson Jr., for once again serving as our Auctioneer and creating great enthusiasum with the crowd! Our student volunteers did a wonderful job giving tours, showcasing their delicious treats and running the raffle. It was an honor to award Dan Corley, Head of Community Preparatory School, with the All Kids Award and Courtney Marcus Correia, School Counselor at Roger Williams Middle School, with the Outstanding UCAP Alum Award.
