Family is very important to Sarai. She is the youngest of eight kids. Her family instilled the value and importance of helping others, and she is passionate about helping individuals and families become better advocates for themselves.
Sarai received her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from RIC in 2009 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Prior to joining the UCAP staff, she worked at Family Service of Rhode Island for five years, where she worked with children exposed to community and domestic violence, and provided support and advocacy to many families navigating through the “system.”
Sarai, who is bilingual, graduated from Castleton State College, Castleton Vermont, with a triple major in Social Work (BSW), Spanish (BA), and Sociology (BA).
She lives in Cumberland RI with her husband, Jamaal, daughter, Natalia and son, Noah.
