Al Lemos is a school social worker with 29 years experience, 27 of which have been at UCAP. Before finding his true calling working with UCAP’s students, Al worked for the Central Falls School District as a social worker, child advocate and truant officer.
Al holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College and has taught several social work course at the Community College of Rhode Island over the years. He lives in Lincoln with his wife Anita and their children, Andrew and Amy.
Al and his understanding of and compassionate involvement with our students was featured in Timothy Hotchner’s award-winning documentary about UCAP, Accelerating America. The Lemos family travelled to Seattle Washington in June 2007 for the premier of the film, where his children were thrilled to see their father on the big screen.
