Elisa Almonte has worked in the Social Services field for 14 years, primarily with a focus on adolescence and education. Before joining the UCAP staff, she had worked as a Bilingual Job Developer, Case Manager, Transition Specialist, and Bilingual Human Sexuality Education Coordinator. She has worked for UCAP since 2007, serving as the 21st Century Community Learning Center Director for Beyond School Programs. Her primary functions are coordinating Beyond School programs, field trips, and family engagement activities. Elisa also explores and develops partnerships with community agencies, volunteers, and youth workers that assist in providing UCAP students an assortment of academic, enrichment, and physical fitness activities. Her relationships with students and staff have enabled her to dramatically increase the amount of time students spend in a wide variety of academic, recreation, and enrichment programs.
Elisa holds a BA in Family Development and Families and a minor in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island.
